OSO Delta GEO DGC

- Heat pump cylinder with electric booster

The DELTA GEO is a purpose – designed heat pump ready unvented cylinder, provid­ing high heat pump input from the extremely large heating coil and substantial dedicated heat pump volume.

The Delta GEO cylinders carry ERP B rating. The cylinders have an electric immersion heater for boosting tempera­ture in the upper part of the cylinder. High performance fully flooded design, with expansion vessel and motorized valve supplied with the cylinder.

Heat pump installations using the OSO cylinders can be eligible for government backed Renewable Heat Incentive. Geo and DGC are ideal for connection with all single phase heat pumps up to 14 kW for a high performance system. 200 litre units are suitable for heat pumps up to 10 kW and have a 19 m coil. The positioning and size of the heat pump coil maximizes the use of air-source or ground-source energy from the heat pump.

An electric immersion heater is fitted in the top half of the cylinder for boosting the temperature, which, from the heat pump, is typically 50-60°C. The fully flooded design offers a superior hot water performance, and the separate external expansion vessel is supplied with wall bracket. The heating coil supports optimum heat transfer for heat pumps up to 14kW and is made from smooth pipe to prevent limescale accumulation.

The 25m length and 8 litre water content of the OSO heat pump coils give them superior heat transfer performance. Bosses and dry pockets are supplied for insertion of tem­perature sensor probes at low and high levels to interact with the Heat Pump.
