OSO Ecoline RI

- Indirect water heating with electric back-up

The Ecoline is an indirect high performance unvented cylinder with all the quality you expect from OSO but at a competitive price point. Ecoline has been designed to operate with any central heating boiler – the cylinder can interact with the boiler either by traditional thermostat or resistance thermistor.

Manufactured from high grade stainless steel, and carrying a 25 year guarantee, the OSO Ecoline cylinder has wide appeal through competitive pricing coupled with a host of product advantages.

The cylinder boasts very low heat losses through use of the latest generation of foam insulation. The heat loss performance, which is considerably better than most competitors, not only save householders on their energy bills, but also assists housebuilders to achieve ever more stringent energy efficiency requirements.

Ecoline is extremely compact. With a diameter of 580mm, cylinder heights are typically 20 – 30cm lower than rival units, enabling more room in the cylinder cupboard to create airing space.

The range of 6 indirect cylinders from 120 to 300 litres is supplied with a full G3 fittings pack including an elbow/drain cock. Other cylinders do not supply this vital component, and the OSO product not only saves time and money for the plumber, but creates a neater installation that allows the cylinder to be fully drained if required.

Ecoline has back-up heating with a 3kw immersion heater threaded into the heating coil.

The cylinder is supplied as a fully flooded design with a potable water expansion vessel supplied with the package.

Heating coils in OSO cylinders are made of smooth coil that will not encourage lime-scale deposits and offer longer and more efficient life than finned or rippled coils.

Ecoline is available in 6 different volumes, estimated to be suitable for the no. of people designated in the table below. The table shows suitable volumes based on experience from average hot water usage in a normal household. If the household has a large hotwater usage, for instance due to large bathtubs, steamshowers etc., one should choose higher volume than designated in the table. Hotwater capacity is calculated by instant tapping at 40°C. At 40°C a 5 minute shower (dependent on shower head) or standard bath uses 80 – 100 litres of water. Extended showers or larger/corner baths can use substantially more. Aerated showers can reduce water consumption whilst still giving a satisfying shower experience.
